About us
Hi, We’re Hairsloom
We started Hairsloom because, honestly, most hair advice online felt like it was written for one type of hair and everyone else just had to figure things out on their own. If you’ve ever read a “must-have” hair care tip and thought “that’s great, but it won’t work for my hair” — yeah, we’ve been there too.
So we built the site we wish existed: one place that actually covers every hair type, not just the trendy ones. Straight, wavy, curly, coily — dry, oily, thinning, damaged — whatever you’re working with, we wanted there to be something here that actually applies to you.
What We’re About
We’re not hair scientists, and we’re not pretending to be. What we are is genuinely into figuring out what works — testing routines, digging into what’s actually backed by something real (not just what’s trending), and cutting through the noise so you don’t have to spend hours doing it yourself.
Every guide, quiz, and tool on this site exists for one reason: to help you stop guessing and start understanding your own hair a little better.
How we create our content
Every guide on Hairsloom is written by our editorial team and checked against trusted sources such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the NHS and peer-reviewed research. We update articles when new information appears. We are not doctors, so for hair loss, scalp conditions or anything that worries you, please see a healthcare
What You’ll Find Here
- Guides for every hair type — because “one-size-fits-all” hair advice usually fits no one.
- Real answers for real concerns — hair loss, dandruff, frizz, damage, you name it.
- Simple tools — like our Hair Type Quiz and Hair Health Score Calculator, so you’re not just reading advice, you’re actually figuring out your own hair.
- No-fluff product guidance — we’d rather tell you what actually works than pad out a list.
Why We Do This
Hair is personal. It’s tied up in how people feel about themselves, and bad advice (or advice that just doesn’t apply to you) can be genuinely frustrating. We wanted to build something that respects that — a place that treats your hair type as valid, not a footnote in someone else’s routine.
We’re still growing, still learning, and still adding to this site. If there’s something you wish we covered, or a question you can’t find an answer to, we’d genuinely love to hear it.
Thanks for stopping by — here’s to figuring out your hair, one honest answer at a time
